Am I Eligible for subsidised training?
You may be eligible for governmentsubsidised training if you either live or work in South Australia, and you are:
- an Australian or New Zealand citizen;
- a permanent Australian resident; or
- the holder of a state sponsored visa and on a pathway to a permanent residency.
You also need to be one of the following:
- aged 16 years or over and not enrolled in school; or
- aged 16 years or over, enrolled in school and undertaking training through the Training Guarantee for SACE Students (TGSS); or
- undertaking training through a training contract as an apprentice or trainee.
Enrolment Conditions
Some subsidised training courses have enrolment conditions and are only available to particular groups of students. These conditions are noted in the above course listing and below are explanations of those conditions.
Projects - Course fees are subsidised by the Government of South Australia's WorkReady Qualification Projects funding for eligible Job Seekers
Training Contract only - You must be an apprentice or trainee with an approved Training Contract.
ASbA only - You must be an Australian school-based apprentice or trainee with an approved Training Contract.
TGSS only - You must be a student enrolled in school, and undertaking vocational education and training as part of your SACE.
