"I had been working in the same industry for 20 years. I was bored, frustrated and not going anywhere. I wanted a job that was challenging, personally fulfilling and rewarding, to be in a career where I was helping others. I enrolled with ATEC's Certificate III in Aged Care and it was the best thing I could have done. ATEC turned out to be a very professional organisation with highly skilled and experienced trainers. The training was very extensive and in depth, but also a lot of fun as everyone there was highly motivated to become a Carer. We got to use a lot of equipment that is being used in Homes and the Community as well as being taught manual handling techniques and emphasis put on personal care. The most important thing I gained out the training was confidence in myself, patience, empathy and that I could change careers and follow my dreams."

"At the end of 2014, I was made redundant due to a downturn in manufacturing. On registering for a Certificate III in Aged Care course I began to doubt whether I could complete the course and my own ability, but ATEC have two of the best instructors that I have ever studied under. Their knowledge of the field and their personal experiences makes their teaching skills second to none. The support they give the students goes a long way to build the students' confidence. I am hoping at this time of my life I can make a difference in people's lives applying the skills that the Trainers have taught me."
