MEM30305 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade

This course is designed for Australian Apprentices employed under a Training Contract. This course covers the skills and knowledge required for employment as an Engineering Tradesperson - Fabrication with the metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries.

The course has been developed so that competency will be developed through a combination of on and off-the-job learning strategies deliverd through a formal apprenticeship.

In order to complete this qualification students must successfully achieve the 12 core units of competency and a number of electives (the number of electives in this qualifiction may vary depending upon those chosen, approximately 20 units) but must be sufficient to make up 73 points in total.

An ATEC Case Manager will be assigned who will develop a Training Plan that suits the needs of both the apprentice and the employer. A new apprentice (who has completed no units to date) would be based on 970 nominal training hours.

Case Management Model

ATEC will assign a Case Manager to manage the training plan and on-site assessments for the apprentice. The Case Manager will liaise with the employer and the apprentice to arrange on-the-job assessments and site visits to observe the apprentice's skills in the workplace.
