This course is for apprentices in the Bricklaying trade.
Students will learn the basic foundations and content to develop the skills and knowledge used in the building and construction industry to efficiently produce quality work with specialist skills applying to the Brick and blocklaying field.
An ATEC Case Manager will be assigned who will develop a Training Plan that suits the needs of both the apprentice and the employer. A new apprentice (who has completed no units to date) would be based on 936 nominal training hours.
Training is delivered and assessed over the term of the Training Contract (usually 4 years). The training will be delivered in one week blocks throughout the year with no more than 6 - 8 weeks of training scheduled annually. The students will have the option of training at our Lonsdale or Ottoway campuses.
