Course admission requirements / pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for entry into this course however applicants will be required to attend an interview and undertake a basic skills assessment.
In order to undertake the mandatory 120 hour vocational placement, learners will need to obtain a National Police Clearance relevant for working in the Aged Care Sector. Please contact ATEC for further information.
Minimum of 14 weeks plus a minimum of 120 hours Vocational Work Placement in an approved Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF)

- This course may be subsidised by the Government of South Australia for eligible students. Visit www.skills.sa.gov.au for eligibility criteria.
- If eligible for subsidised training, learners will be required to co-contribution other towards tuition fees and incidentals such as text books
Fee for Service students are required to pay a deposit (to a maximum of $1000) with the balance of fees due prior to the completion of training. Alternately, payment by direct debit can be arranged and a deposit is required for this option

Students who successfully complete all the requirements of this course will be issued with a Record of Results and CHC33015 Certificate III Individual Support Ageing.
Students who do not complete all the units of competency within this course will receive a Statement of Attainment for those units of competency that have been successfully achieved.
